Sports complexes in Guadalajara are becoming increasingly modern and fully-equipped. All sports find their place in this city, where you can either practise a wide variety of sports or enjoy being a spectator.

Thanks to these qualities, numerous federations and prestigious clubs choose the city every year as the location for their competitions, pre-match meetings and training sessions.

Fuente de la Niña centre, which includes athletics tracks and a swimming-pool, the Ciudad de la Raqueta, and the swimming pools and many sports and leisure complexes to be found all over the provincial capital are just a few of the sporting options available in this area.

The Multipurposes Palace might be considered the standard-bearer for sport in the city. Its inauguration in 2010 marked the beginning of a new era for sport in the city, enabling Guadalajara to consolidate itself as a reference point for both national and international sport. Thanks to its excellent facilities, with a capacity over 5.500 viewers, this space offers a very extensive range of possible uses, which means that in the short time since it opened it has hosted many highly prestigious competitions. Last year, the Karate World Championship and the Artistic Gymnastic National Championship were hosted there.

For outdoor sports fans, there is a big bycicle-path with fifteen kilometres all around Guadalajara city. There are many green areas where the visitor may enjoy a leisurely walk or practice sports in unmatched natural surroundings.
