Main content

The undisputed figurehead of this project is Ricardo Velázquez Bosco, one of the leading figures in Guadalajara’s architectural scene at the turn of the 20th century.

His mastery left a legacy of such notable buildings as the mausoleum of the Countess of Vega del Pozo and the new wings of the Liceo Caracense, examples of great artistic and technical quality.

This route takes you on a stroll along Calle Mayor to admire the early 20th-century architecture, designed in the Romantic style and essential to understanding the city’s urban development.
